Artist Kelly Houle is making a gorgeous illuminated manuscript of Origin of Species, and you can be a part of it
She is a calligrapher and natural history artist who has embarked on the daunting task of illustrating Darwin’s momentous book. Judging by her work so far, the finished product should be stunning. She estimates the whole project will take her five to ten years, and you can help her raise money towards her goal through Kickstarter. Kelly has some beautiful calligraphy and print work as a gift for even a $10 contribution to the project; head over and check it out!
On a side note, it appears Kelly lives about 15 minutes from my family’s house. Small world!
